An homage to roots, rhythm, and the power of cultural connection.
The Far Rock High tee pays tribute to Far Rockaway, Queens, one of the pivotal hometowns where the seeds of our Hip Hop journey were planted. Moving to Gipson Street, we were immersed in a vibrant tapestry of cultures: Jamaican, American, Haitian, Bajan, Guyanese, Indian, Puerto Rican, Dominican, African, Irish, Jewish, and many more. Every block was alive with diversity, every boombox broadcasted dreams, and every cassette tape carried the future in its reels.
This shirt represents the moments that shaped us, building mixtapes by hand, fixing tapes with scotch tape, looping beats before we knew it was called producing, breakdancing on cardboard, and learning to navigate the codes of the street and the codes of creativity.

Through the lens of Far Rock, we understood the beauty of community, the richness born from cultural exchange, and the power of curiosity to fuel lifelong artistry. It’s also a salute to the unsung lessons: like seeing a classmate’s parents living as international musicians (Thomas and Taylor) and realizing that dreams were within reach; or the countless films our grandfather took us to, subtly passing down a love for music, culture, and storytelling, not through words, but through experiences.

This tee isn't just about a place!!!
It's about remembering that inspiration can come from anywhere, a street corner, a friend’s living room, a movie screen, a television show like Video Music Box that broadcasted dreams into our living rooms and opened us to global sounds and visions beyond Hip Hop.
It’s about honoring those who planted seeds knowingly or unknowingly and realizing that every moment has the potential to shape a life.
